What is Sharathon?

Goal $100,000

October 17, 2014

WAFT is a listener-funded, non-profit radio station. We rely on people like you to keep WAFT on the air, proclaiming the hope of Christ. Every year we spend one day asking for the support of our listeners. But what impact does WAFT have on our community and across the world? How does your support of WAFT share the hope of Jesus?

Community Involvement

-Garage Sale: WAFT held its first ever community garage sale on the

station grounds. The proceeds for space rentals ($600 total) went to

a local ministry called the Mission Point.

-Pay-It-Forward Oklahoma: WAFT partnered with many local businesses

and ministries to help meet the needs of those affected by the tornado

by collecting food/supplies to send directly to Firehouse Community Outreach. WAFT collected 15 pallets of supplies!

-Other community events: Down Home Days Festival in Madison, FL; bought gold ribbons for Child Cancer Awareness Month; hosted David Dean comedy night; provide water bottles for local runs; participated in James Eunice Swim/Dinner

World-wide Impact

-Love Packages: WAFT listeners donate new/used Bibles, SS materials, Christian

books, etc. and WAFT ships them around the world. This year WAFT collected 11.7

tons of material and had more volunteers than ever before.

WAFT is listened to online across the globe!

"I am so blessed in a rural village in Guatemala, listening and receiving spiritual growing through your work. Four years ago I was listening close to Valdosta and now in my home in Guatemala thanks so much to be online. I work with medical Missions sharing Gospel up at the mountains, sharing Jesus' love with communities in poor living conditions, pray for these Ministry.

~Nelson

Thank y'all for this ministry! I listened to WAFT all my life (23) years until I moved to Romania three years ago. Two weeks ago Ms. Shelia told my how to listen online. My wife and I listen all the time!
