I came to work at WAFT in the 1990's when my husband, Rick Hofmeister, came to pastor Grace Bible Church. I am the oldest of Jack and Frankie Tidwell's 6 children. In the beginning I filled in for Mama (Frankie Tidwell) when she was away. Being a member of the family it was natural to be part of this ministry. We have been part of Christian radio since 1960 when Mama and Daddy helped Uncle Dan put WAYR on the air in Orange Park, Florida. Since becoming a caregiver for Rick, who had a stroke in 2023, I work part time from home. Do we really "retire" from ministry?
