Office Staff/Love Packages

Sandra is often the first friendly face at WAFT, welcoming visitors, taking calls, and lending a hand in the office. Each February, she also leads the station’s Love Packages outreach.

I was a single mother of two when I met Jackie at work. After dating for about two years, we married and later welcomed a son, Tyler. Now, our family has grown to include four granddaughters and two grandsons, who bring us so much joy.

My connection with WAFT began rather unexpectedly. One day I stopped by to pick up a prize for my sister, and before long I was volunteering. Eventually, I joined the staff, and it’s hard to believe that was more than 15 years ago.

At home, we enjoy gardening and caring for our chickens and ducks. Our dog, Tucker, keeps us laughing—he’s certain he’s more human than canine. And I’ll admit, one of my favorite simple pleasures is heading to Publix to scoop up all the BOGO deals.

At WAFT, I enjoy greeting visitors to the studio, answering the phones, and assisting in the office wherever I’m needed. Over the years, my role has grown to include mailing out listener letters, helping with bookkeeping, and just about anything else that keeps things running smoothly.

One ministry that’s especially close to my heart is Love Packages. I oversee this effort here at WAFT, and if you come by in February to drop off books, I’m the face you’ll see. It’s such a joy to be part of a ministry that sends Christian literature around the world.

Being able to serve in so many different ways keeps every day interesting, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of what God is doing through WAFT.
